About us
Our family has been rooted in Seeshaupt since 1868 , since 1893 on today's Penzberger Straße. What began as an agricultural business trading in wood, coal and later heating oil has been our hotel garni on Lake Starnberg since 1991. Today, I am the second generation to run the hotel - with the joy of meeting people and the desire to make you feel at home.
We are a house of a manageable size, where people know each other, talk to each other and where a warm word is just as much a part of it as a good dose of humor. I am supported by a dedicated team that is attentive, thinks along with me and puts its heart into its work.
History
In 1990, my parents Elisabeth and Leonhard Sterff plucked up the courage to start again. Within a year, the farm became our hotel garni in Seeshaupt. A big step for my parents - and the start of a new task for me. A lot has happened since we opened in 1991: We have rebuilt, renovated, expanded and constantly developed. I now run the hotel in the spirit of my parents - with respect for what has grown and the desire to preserve what has stood the test of time while at the same time creating something new.

Enjoy the warmth in our Finnish solid wood sauna - a pleasant way to relax after an active day at Lake Starnberg or a business meeting in the region.
You can consciously switch off in the adjoining relaxation area with comfortable loungers. A Grander® drinking fountain is also at your disposal.
Use of the sauna is included for our hotel guests. Bathrobes and sauna towels are of course provided.

You can safely store your bikes in our bike hut. It is also possible to charge e-bikes here.

There is no minibar in the rooms.
